Learn. Play. Ride.
Horse Camp 2021
We're happy to announce that we'll be hosting our inaugural Horse Camp this summer!
It'll be safe. It'll be outdoors. And most importantly, it will be fun.
To best ensure safety and the most amount of fun and attention to each participant, we will be limiting our camp to a maximum of 10 campers between the ages of 5 to 16 of all riding levels. We will also be following the CDC's summer camp guidelines recommended for the prevention against the spread of COVID-19. All of Rising Storm Stables' employees have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, as well.
Sanitizing stations are available around the barn's grounds, masks and gloves will be made available, and restrooms are cleaned regularly.
Throughout the camp, riders will learn the basics of how to ride and work safely around horses, including: Horse anatomy, care for horses, the responsibilities of barn chores (cleaning, feeding, and proper care of equipment), RIDING, and fun, engaging outdoor activities that can help bolster confidence and establish life-long leadership skills. We wrap up each week with a pizza party available for parents and family to attend!
Snacks will be offered daily, as well as water (please bring your own reusable water bottle), freshly squeezed orange juice and lemonade. Lunch is available for an extra $4.00 per day. A menu will be provided at the time of registration.
We do ask that students bring their own pencils, crayons, colored pencils and art supplies. We will have a limited supply of art equipment available. Students need to wear boots or variety of soled-shoe; gym shoes will also be permitted; a well-fitting helmet (riding, bike, skate, etc.) is required. Helmets are available at the barn, and are sanitized before each use.
$425.00 per student; we do offer a discount for multi-student enrollment, multi-week enrollment, first responders, active and retired military, and teachers.
Camps run from 9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. Lunch is at 12:30 p.m. Please book one week in advance of each session. There is $50 non-refundable deposit upon registering. We accept payment through cash, check and Venmo.
